Tender Art is a duo consisting of soprano Andrea Hörkens and her partner Thomas Roderburg who accompanies her on guitar. Tender Art was created out of Andrea and Thomas's desire to make music together. They were inspired by the lyrics of Ishmael von Heidrick-Barnes (also known as Peter Barnes), a friend from California. Ishmael sent Andrea a handwritten collection of lyrics as a gift in July 2010.
